Independent IT Owner’s Advocates for Complex Institutions
Founded by Albert Slater in 2024, Patron Projects draws on four decades of telecommunications and IT project experience across installation, repair, coordination, acquisition, and consulting.
The word “Patron” reflects our core commitment: to represent, protect, and advocate for our clients.
Patron Projects serves as an independent IT Owner’s Advocate in complex institutional environments. We represent the institution’s interests — not vendors, contractors, or outside agendas.
We work across IT, facilities, construction teams, and technology vendors to ensure infrastructure is planned, designed, built, and delivered correctly. From early strategy through go-live, we bring structure, visibility, and accountability to high-risk initiatives.
Bring Control, Clarity & Accountability to Critical Technology Initiatives
Our role is straightforward:
Clients engage Patron Projects when technology failure is not an option and a single, trusted authority must be accountable for the outcome.
Principled Leadership. Independent Advocacy. Long-Term Trust.

Integrity is our compass. We build trust by making ethical choices, staying transparent, and holding ourselves accountable—always doing what’s right for our clients, even when it’s hard.

We strip away the noise. By simplifying complex challenges, we create solutions that are easy to understand, implement, and scale—so our clients always have a clear path forward.

With disciplined execution and proactive oversight, we stay ahead of obstacles. Our clients rely on us to keep their projects on track, on time, and in budget—without surprises.

We lead with your vision. Every recommendation we make and every action we take is centered on your goals. We listen, we guide, and we deliver—with your best interest at heart.

Traditionally, the term "patron" denotes someone who supports artists, institutions, or causes, often through financial contributions. In advocacy, this role expands to include active participation in promoting and sustaining efforts that align with the patron's values or interests. For instance, patrons may fund campaigns, provide platforms for awareness, or leverage their influence to effect policy changes.
“I have been working with Albert for the last 7 plus years. He has been able to provide project management, strategic technical direction, and thought-provoking conversation to continually move us in a positive direction. I view Albert as a member of my own team, and he supports us in the same manner. As you will see when working with Albert, he has a special way of supporting his clients. I assume that is why he named his company Patron Projects. What a great way to describe Albert. A patron whose clients come before everything. I certainly endorse Albert Slater not only from a technical viewpoint but also from a personal perspective.”
